Good eye, I thought a bit about his "his family abandoned him because he grew up with an imperfect coat instead of being pure white and having some markings that his race doesn't have except for his subspecies" type background and then he would have to live in the most ignored and racialized areas, which made him very aggressive and insecure, that's why in all the drawings I've done he has a puffy neck.

But, if he sleeps it deflates, because when he sleeps he is not always alert.

He should think better about his lore hahha
